Boops LeRoy
Boops was born in 2003. She is the most amazing dog. She is very
affectionate and good-natured. She is also very protective of people
and things she cares about and weighing in at 18 pounds, she can back it up
:)

A dignified, self-confident little dog the Pekingese is an adaptable breed, able to live in many environments. The Pekingese makes a good guard dog because he is an "alarm barker"; thereby alerting his owners whenever anyone approaches their residence. Obedience training with the Pekingese is difficult. The Pekingese is a small dog, though he might argue to the contrary. He averages 8 to 14 pounds, standing no taller than 8 to 9 inches. He has a long, straight outer coat that is described as coarse and profuse. He possesses a lion-like main with feathering on the tail, legs, and thighs. An ancient breed of China, some have traced the Pekingese back as far as the Han Dynasty, 206 BC - 220 AD. It is said that this dog was among the Royal dogs of China. A dog of many names, the Pekingese has been known as the "sleeve dog" in the Han Dynasty and the "Lion Dog".
